Sell teaching resources from your bio

Teachers who share classroom ideas online build a following of other teachers, parents and tutors, all looking for something they can print before Monday. The worksheets, revision cards and display packs you already make for your own class are exactly that. A stall.bio store sells them from your bio and delivers each file the moment it is paid for, even at 10pm on a Sunday.

What teaching resources sell well?

Resources that save another teacher or a parent an evening: differentiated worksheet packs, revision cards, phonics mats, reading comprehension sets, reward charts and classroom display bundles. Tie each one to a year group and a topic, such as "Year 4 fractions" rather than "maths worksheets", so a busy buyer knows in a second whether it fits their class or child.

Typical prices for teachers selling to their own followers:

  • A single phonics mat or display poster: free, as a lead magnet
  • Reward charts or classroom labels: £2 to £5
  • Topic worksheet pack of 20 to 40 pages: £4 to £9
  • Term-long bundle across several topics: £10 to £20
  • GCSE or A level revision pack with answers: £6 to £15
  • Parent guide to helping at home with reading or times tables: £5 to £12

Teachers buy with school budgets in mind and parents buy on impulse, so a spread of small prices usually beats one big product.

An example store: Miss Patel’s Classroom

Miss Patel is a made-up Year 2 teacher who shares phonics games and classroom set-ups with 15,000 followers, roughly half teachers and half parents. Her store is laid out for both.

  1. A free phonics sound mat comes first. Parents print it for the fridge; teachers laminate a class set. Both leave an email address.
  2. The Year 2 Maths Worksheet Pack at £8 is the main product: 120 pages across the year, each sheet in three levels of challenge, with answers.
  3. The KS2 Reading Comprehension Bundle at £12 is for older children, since many followers teach or parent more than one age.
  4. Classroom Reward Charts at £4 sit as a compact row, a small add-on that sells well at the start of term.
  5. A link to her free blog posts closes the page for anyone who wants ideas rather than files.

At the start of September she adds a "was" price and a countdown to the worksheet pack, timed for the week teachers plan their classrooms.

Your bio checklist as a teacher

Teacher accounts often stay anonymous for safeguarding reasons. You can still write a bio that sells without your surname, your school or your town.

  • Say the age group you teach, such as "Year 2 teacher, phonics and maths ideas".
  • Leave out your school, your surname and anything that identifies pupils.
  • Put your stall.bio address as the link and name the free resource above it.
  • Choose a store name that matches your account handle, not your legal name.
  • Use highlights to show resources in use, photographed without children's faces or names.
  • Mention whether resources follow the English national curriculum or another one.

Making resources other classrooms can use

A worksheet that works in your room needs a little more to work in someone else's. Remove your school logo and class names, write instructions a supply teacher could follow, and add an answer sheet. Offer each pack as a PDF that prints cleanly in black and white, because most school printers and many home printers are mono.

Keep fonts consistent and choose one designed for early readers, with a single-storey "a", for younger year groups. Include a contents page in longer packs so a teacher can print only the pages they need this week.

Zip editable versions alongside the PDF only if you are happy for buyers to change them, and say what they may do in a short note. Your stall.bio store delivers the ZIP straight away, and buyers can download it again from their access page next year when they teach the same topic.

Questions, answered

Am I allowed to sell resources I made as a teacher?

It depends on your contract. Resources made in your own time on your own equipment are usually yours, but some schools and trusts claim work made for your job. Check your employment contract or ask your union before selling anything you created for school, and never sell material that copies a paid scheme.

Can schools pay for resources by invoice?

Checkout takes cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, so a teacher with a school purchasing card can buy directly. Each buyer gets a receipt by email showing your name as the seller, which most school finance offices accept for small purchases.

Can I give resources away free as well as selling them?

Yes. Set any resource up as a lead magnet and it is always free in exchange for an email address. Many teacher accounts give away one sheet from each paid pack, so parents and colleagues can try the style before they buy the full set.

How do I price resources for parents and teachers at once?

Keep single packs under £10 so parents buy on impulse, and offer a larger term bundle for teachers who want everything. A discount code for staffrooms, shared with a colleague who asks, is an easy way to reward word of mouth without lowering your normal price.
